This property that is perfect for a Charlottesville horse farm closed last week to one of my buyer clients.  “Hopewell” consists of 147 acres of beautiful pasture.  There is an old home that dates from 1785.  The house has had several additions over the years and the facade has been covered with brick.  Currently the residence is unliveable.  The purchaser intends to restore this home; I can’t wait to see the transformation.

The farm is located just outside of Gordonsville VA on route 231, which is one of the prettiest drives in Virginia with one equestrian estate after another.  The property has gently rolling topography in pastureland, two ponds and views of the southwest mountains.  It is perfect for a horse property and that is just what it will become.
